In 2005 I began to work in the private sector with special needs adults and young people with drug addiction. In 2006 I was recruited into the NHS mental health services where I provided therapeutic interventions in acute and psychiatric intensive care mental health hospitals and recovery units. This experience has provided me with insight into working with complex mental health issues with a vast range of individuals from various social, ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Alongside this work, in 2010 I began working as a counsellor and psychotherapist within the education system and the field of drug and alcohol addictions. In 2012 I incorporated my experience into a new role as a psychotherapist working within a busy palliative care unit within local NHS Hospital. This role included the training of other highly experienced NHS healthcare professionals providing high quality cancer care. In 2014 I expanded my experience, when asked to join a complex psychological team working within forensic prison services, this particular role gave me great insight into a variety of psychological criminal behaviours and then in 2015 I was asked to join the psychological team at help for heroes.

Nursac Ilarslan

Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist
Hello and thank you for viewing my profile.I am an experienced Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist with experience in both NHS and private practice. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) explores the link between what you do, what you think and how you feel.

Unfortunately, life presents us with difficulties and usually we are able to cope well on our own with these situations. There are occasions, when for whatever reason, we need help from someone else, which is usually a friend, colleague or family member. Sometimes, however, you might find you have no one to turn to or talking to a friend or loved one seems too difficult, painful or just too complicated. I will work together with you to find the best way forward and to help you find the best solutions to your problems.

I understand accessing therapy and being able to open up to talk about your difficulties with someone can be a difficult experience and I therefore provide a confidential, non judgemental and safe environment. I follow the standard of conducts set by the BABCP which can be found here www.babcp.com/files/About/BABCP-Standards-of-Conduct-Performance-and-Ethics.pdf
I currently work privately Thursday, Friday and Saturday's. There may be flexibility of offering further appointments so please feel free to call me to discuss your needs.
The location of both my North London and Leigh on Sea therapy room is easily accessible by public transport. Free on-street parking is available at both clinics.

If you would like to find out more information or to discuss further in confidence please contact me on 07824880450 (with no obligation).

Adriana Kelidi

BSc Applied (Clinical) Psychology.  MSc Applied Sport Psychology
Cognitive Behavoural Psychotherapist.

I have worked in diverse adult NHS primary care settings for over 6 years, delivering evidence-based interventions to individuals and groups.  I aim to tailor therapy to meet the needs of each person, working collaboratively to understand their challenges from their own perspectives.

I have completed training in CBT for long-term health conditions and I am a trained supervisor for both low and high-intensity CBT practitioners.  I am committed to providing high-quality care infused with compassion to support you in overcoming your difficulties, and reach your goals at your pace.

As a fully-accredited BABCP psychotherapist, my approach is naturally influenced by my passions, both personally and professionally.  I have worked with universities in tutoring and mentoring the next generation of therapists, and strongly value passing down knowledge to those completing their training. I thoroughly enjoy being a part of people's development, and apply this to my therapeutic work too.

I also have a keen interest in exercise and lifestyle; having undertaken a Sport Psychology Masters, I have developed a knowledge base on the impact of wellbeing on performance, which can apply to many other areas of life. A big pillar to our health is made up of several lifestyle factors (e.g. exercise, diet and sleep), and incorporating this into the work I do has been incredibly beneficial to enhancing clients' wellbeing.

If you would like to discuss this further and book a free, no-obligation consultation, please contact me with your availability, and I will aim to respond within 48 hours.
