I am a member of wpf/Foundation for Psychotherapy and Counselling (FPC) and a registrant of the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC). You may check my membership with these organisations by following the links - each has a Complaints Procedure and a Code of Ethics and Practice to which I am bound.
I hold a WPF Diploma in Psychodynamic Supervision and I have extensive experience of supervising counsellors / psychotherapists, both qualified and in training; as well as those employing counselling skills in their professional practice, such as clergy, social workers and health professionals. I also provide counselling skills training in NHS, educational and social service settings.
From 2000-2004, I was Director of a voluntary counselling organisation where I established counselling services for adults, adolescents and children, and authored a B.Sc. (Hons) course in child and adolescent counselling. Prior to training as a psychotherapist, I was a registered speech and language therapist, working as a clinician and manager in the NHS. My main clinical interests were adults with disorders of voice (dysphonia), language (dysphasia) and fluency (stammering).
